I've spent hours online & on YouTube & on forums learning about Linux.
WOW, there are a lot of distros!
Someone on another Linux forum suggested that I choose a distro that I like. There are hundreds. So, I decided to quickly narrow down my choices by researching the different package managers. I eliminated a few because of the strange syntax, like "emerge" on Portage. I narrowed it down to either DEB or RPM. I chose DEB.
So, anyway...
I need something physically small because I don't have the room to store several boxes as I assemble the computer. I have a Mac mini. That's the size that I want.
I researched the Pi & I'm intrigued!
So, I'll be asking a lot of questions!
Like, I know that the Pi 500+ has NVME memory. NVME memory is expensive. The board is probably too small to accept a SSD, like the 2.5 inch internal, unless there's a HAT that accepts SSD that can be plugged into the Pi.
