Does anyone know of any way to increase the power output of USB ports to make the most of this power supply?

You can buy a powered USB hub. Connect it to the Pi. And attach the drives to that powered hub. That should work. Something like this:

Hey everyone, just to update you on the outcome, I purchased a powered USB hub with a 12v power supply as suggested, and all my issues have been resolved. I also sold my power supply for the Raspberry Pi 5.
