And we are back to whatever "daily driver" means. If a user has to do something specific on a near daily basis then, if a Pi cannot do that, I don't believe it can be considered as a daily driver for them.That is an edge case for a daily driver.When i open Google Earth and try to look around a little bit (on Chromium), that 4gb ram is filled within a couple of minutes and i experience a system freeze. I would personally suggest the 8GB model for a hassle free desktop experience.
I wouldn't completely disagree that this is an edge case, but in my experience many people have some edge case or other.
Perhaps not enough to prevent a Pi being a daily driver generally, but enough to stop it being a complete replacement for a PC.
Which necessitates a choice; mostly move to a Pi and keep a PC on hand for when it will be needed, use only a Pi and forego what one would have done with a PC, or simply keep using a PC to do everything.
