I have installed Wireguard VPN on a Raspberry Pi 5 server using PiVPN. I have the port number for the Raspberry Pi server; the IP address of the RP is known (as selected by DHCP) and FritzBox was used to make the selected IP static. My ISP (Zen Internet) has supplied a static external IP address so DNS not required.
Having set up the RP server and created certificates for my iPhone and iPad clients I now need to enter the correct information on the Fritzbox router to allow the required port sharing. I assumed it was a simple matter of entering these details in Internet > Permit Access > Port Sharing, by selecting Add Device for Sharing. However the situation appears more complicated (particularly as there are options to install Wireguard on the router itself). AVM (Fritzbox) have not yet been forthcoming with the required information. Has anyone configured a Fritzbox router when using the Raspberry Pi as server?
