I am building up another pair of Pi 5s with NVME bases, not all the parts are here yet as Amazon shipping on the NVMEs is super slow for some reason....
BUT...
WHile I wait, my Pi5 workstation for the house started locking up, and is throwing a TON of NVME controller disabled errors. I have swapped around NVME bases but the error persists. The Pi is unbootable outside of an SD card, and when on the SD card it runs just fine...
Tried reflashing the OS to the NVME and it fails writing to disk, and / or locks the pi up. Upon reboot tons of NVME errors. And the issue follows the NVME drive itself.
And yes, the NVME is on the compatibility list, and i have had it working now for about 2 weeks. Just seems like a sudden it just wanted to die thing...
Going to send it back to Amazon for a replacement, but what a pain in the tail.
