General discussion • Raspbian Lite Image

Hi everyone

Brand new here so be gentle.

I'm wondering if it's possible to download a Raspbian Lite image and open it in a service such as Hyper-V/VMware to create changes before placing it onto a micro SD card.

Any help or advice is appreciated!
