Assumptions and requirements:
So -geometry 1024x768+0+0 for the first vlc and -geometry 1024x768+768+0 for the second.
Untested with vlc so YMMV.

Assumptions and requirements:
- You're using RPiOS or another Linux system that boots to the desktop.
- X11 not Wayland/Wayfire as I have no idea if this will work under Xwayland
- vlc is/will be running under the desktop
- vlc allows multiple instances
- vlc supports the standard -geometry argument to an X application. It may not so check the documentation. It may have its own version of this option.
- Your desktop is configured as a single desktop across all screens (what windows calls "extend desktop") and working with two monitors.
- Both monitors are the same resolution. Say width 1024, height 768 This isn't critical but you'll need to adjust accordingly.
- Monitors are arranged horizontally. Logically. Physical arragement doesn't matter. Again, not cirtical adjust as required.
So -geometry 1024x768+0+0 for the first vlc and -geometry 1024x768+768+0 for the second.
Untested with vlc so YMMV.
