Hi I have been involved in electronics and electronic design. I am getting on in years but would like to get into this. I have had an idea about fiber optics. I used to be with virgin broadband and have a cable with connectors at each end. Could I do something with this like switching thing etc. This is just to have a play around. I know I would need some kind of controllers at each end but if I could link this to a PI. I think I could have some fun with this.
I built my first computer in 1974 (1 year before Bill gates started icrosoft). It was a Nascom mini main frame. I created robotics throuh the PIO chip. Thats the parallel In/Out controller. So that is me and what I acheved. I think I could have fun with a PI.
