Ah, individual O/S updating, must have missed that before, probably because it is much more complicated than just using an installer that allows partitioning of the disk.
A normal Linux lets us do that, choose where to put the O/S, & have other partitions as required, simple as that; with this (regular) system, a new O/S can be installed, whilst keeping your data partition.
I still think an 'expert mode' should be available in the RaspiOS installer....![Wink ;)]()
