Are Raspberry PI devices a good price for what you get? Yes.

I have rarely questioned that. I was simply addressing the assertion that profit margins were low.

The profits do not just slide into someone's bank account

Presumably some of it does by way of salary and remunerations, and some in Raspberry PI do get paid considerably more than the national average.
