Three blue pads about 1.5mm thick applied to the metal base then a waxed/plastic sheet over that. The pads match three chips.

The pad for the CPU chip is not shaped to go down the curve of the chip top. My copper heatsink set has four heatsinks for four chips, the CPU heatsink curves to match the top of the CPU chip, and the 3M bonding agent is about only 0.3mm thick.

Comparing the two, my heaviest workload does not make the official cooler CPU fan switch on so there is no use me trying to test the heat difference between the CPU and the heatsink. I run heavy workloads for hours with the copper heatsinks and they stay cool.

It is winter here, a freezing 20℃. Maybe summer will stress them.
