Welcome, new user.Yes.., they tried to roll out UKCA but it made things more complicated, so they slowed down. Many people still use CE, so most companies stuck with it. It makes things easier, especially for people who do business with the EU....Probably including the UK. The UK Government hasn't completely abandoned UKCA but the Conservative government under Sunak's leadership stepped back from mandating it as a replacement for CE marking and conformity post-Brexit.Except in UK, right?
But, yes, like every non-EU member state, the UK could decide, what the EU believes is good for member states and their citizens, isn't appropriate for the UK or hers.
