in theory cat/dev/ttyS0 should let me see what data stream is on /dev/ttS0. theory is apparently a very nice place where things behave as they should.
in my reality entering cat/dev/ttyS0 in the terminal results in "/dev/ttyS0 is busy". well. yeah, that was the point of trying to see what it is busy doing.
what do I have to do to see what is on the various ports?
