What a PAIN...!!!!
Tried to upload a pic but only answer I get is the file is too large....
No info as to what is required....
my problem is this:
Bought a brand new Pi 5 32GB. I wanted to boot to an SSD but the SSD requires too much power from the USB 3.0 port.
So I purchased a powered 2.5" SATA to 3.0 USB to offload the power from the pi 5.
Problem is that I can boot the pi 5 with the SSD plugged into the USB 3.0 port. But then the USB 2.0 Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse don't work.....
I can run the Pi 5 on the microSD card with no troubles at all....
But if I plug in the SSD the mouse and keyboard again shut down....
The SSD is a crucial MX500 2.5 SSD, 1000GB, current draw 1.7A
My adapter is a Gator Cable USB 3.0 to 2.5" SATA III with an included 12Vdc 2.0A power adapter.
Wish I could upload a pic or two but no luck on this forum....
So what gives???
