RPL, by and large, doesn't pre-announce new products. My personal opinion would be that a 1GB Pi5 is unlikely. While they did/do make a 1GB Pi4, it has not always been generally available for individual purchase. Given that the Pi5 requires a 64-bit OS, I consider a 1GB Pi5 to be rather unlikely. But, per point 2 above, I have no inside knowledge, so this is just my opinion.
