General discussion • Login password fail Pi 5, Kali, x11vnc

I spent a fair bit of time tonight trying to get x11vnc server to allow me to remote desktop into my Pi 5 running Kali. Remote Ripple rejects the password every time and so I have to ask is it possible that the pw authentication type is different between x11vnc and Remote Ripple.

After many fruitless searches any help would be very much appreciated.
