I ordered a digishou active cooler, with thermal pads that came separately to the cooler itself. I am wondering how I should install those pads.

Like to the product? For that matter...for which model of Pi? Most people buy the Pi5 RPL active cooler, which comes with the pads installed on the heat sink, so you just peel off the covering and stick the unit on.
