General discussion • Anyone using v3dlib yet?

v3dlib sounds like a great gift to the Pi community, it allows the GPU to be programmed directly for general purposes and not just graphics acceleration:

There's no Pi 5 support at the moment (assuming that the new model GPU won't just run this unaltered based on the Pi 4 support, which is possible). Otherwise though, looks great.

But it's been four years since the last update... anyone making practical use of this?

My first thought is that it could potentially, just maybe, be used to get OpenAI's open-source "whisper" voice recognition to run on Raspberry Pi hardware. Or at least to get Sphinx to run fast enough on the Pi Zero 2 W, with a lot of new C++ work of course.
