I have a newly acquired raspberry pi 5 running bookworm OS which is just not running right (only way to describe it)
I flashed the OS and all was good for about a month then the pi would freeze up, stop responding to mouse clicks and the big one when rebooted using both the desktop button and sudo reboot it would come back up with debian 12 screen.
Now either the pi is a load of junk or the OS is a load of junk.
2 days ago it just froze and would not respond at all so I re-flashed the SD card with the OS and started over.
I had to start from scratch on a project that established an access point and ran python scripts to communicate wirh ESP8266/ESP01 relay module using MQTT.
I have been diligent in shutting down using the "shutdown or reboot" buttons so I did not corrupt the SD card but was forced to do a power down a number times when it did not respond even to sudo reboot
Has anybody reported or seen this issue?
Have I bought a dodgy Pi or has the OS got some problems.
I have 2 3B+ pi's that just run no problem.
I just shutdown the pi via the Debian logout button and then started it again it now looks like I have a pi running debian 12 because the pi desktop is not starting.
