I have issue with my RPI5 same on 8GB and 16GB version that while I run my python script for zipping folders with ts chunks (each ts chunk has about 1 MB) and there are about 30 folder and each folder has size about 2 GB so in total about 60 GB the RPI5 run out of memory. I am using latest OS 64-bit. The same behavior is when OS is on SD card or on NvMe. In htop it shows 388 MB and after 5 minutes it increase to 13,2GB. My script and folders are on NAS server. If I let the script running, after another 5 minutes the RPI will be stuck. I tried after stopping the script clear memory via a lot of commands but nothing work only rebooting RPI5. Have you got any idea what is happening during the script that it took a lot of memory?
